The Application Designer Software is used to develop mobile scanning applications for use with iScans "Firefly" barcode scanner add on for Ericsson Handsets

iScan manufactures a new mobile scanning device that attaches to the bottom of an Ericsson mobile phone. The device is programmed remotely using the accompanying Application Designer Software. The software enables the user to design specific menus to be displayed on the phone and collect associated data.

The Application Designer Software is an easy to use Windows 32bit application. Compatible with Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP. The user-friendly WYSIWYG view of the handset allows users review their applications and see how they will appear on the phone. The menu applications are deployed to the device via SMS.

Once an application is installed the menus prompt data entry which is stored on the device. This data can be transmitted instantly in real time or stored for transmission later. A remote computer receives the transmitted data using a GSM module this data is processed and if required information returned.
