Siren lets you listen to audio CDs and .WAV, .MP3, and .WMA files on your PC. Siren features a music library that you can use to organize songs by artist, album, or genre, but you can also create custom playlists that organize your music the way you want. For example, you can use playlists to assemble a list of songs suitable for listening while reading, working out, or for parties. Playlists are very useful for creating a master list for writing your own custom CDs. A Graphic EQ lets you fine tune the playback to match your listening preference. In addition, you can enjoy real-time visualizations based on the waveform and FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis of the currently playing song. Record CDs With Siren you can record your CDs onto your hard drive. Each track is automatically added to the My Music library. To help organize your songs, CD information such as name of song, artist, album, and genre can be manually entered or automatically obtained from a local database, the CD itself, or the Internet CD database (CDDB). The songs can be recorded to either near-CD quality or CD quality. At near-CD quality you can store approximately 2 minutes/MB, and at CD quality you can store about 1 minute/MB. Write CDs Siren can write songs to a supported CD Recorder. (Most newer ATAPI or SCSI MMC drives are supported.) You can write individual songs (.WAV, .MP3, and .WMA files) one at a time, or you can organize a group of songs into a playlist and write them together as a compilation or complete personal album.
