We all enjoy eating a nice pasta. That's why we worked hard with out Italian product team to be the first to develop a good tasting pasta with less carbs. We replaced some of the wheat with oat fibre, durum and pea protein and created a great tasting pasta with 70% less carbs than regular pasta.

    Bereidingsmethode

    Voeg 50g pasta toe aan kokend water. Kook de pasta in 15 minuten, beetgaar.

    Italian Penne & Meatballs in Tomato sauce

    Ingredients for 4 persons:
    400g minced beef
    400g chopped tomatoes
    50g chopped spring onion
    1 onion, chopped
    1 sweet pepper
    1 small jalapeno pepper
    2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
    4 tbsp chopped fresh basil
    1 tbsp dried oregano
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 egg white
    salt and pepper

    Pour the olive oil into a pan over medium heat. Fry one onion and one clove of garlic, add the chopped sweet pepper and sauté for one more minute. Add the tomatoes to the pan and bring to boil, then simmer for 15 mins. Add salt and pepper, the basil and oregano.

    Meanwhile place the beef, spring onion, one garlic clove, the egg white and one chopped jalapeno pepper (remove seeds) in a bowl and mix together. Then shape into meatballs. Bake the meatballs for 20 mins. Then add the meatballs to the tomato sauce and gently stir so they don't break up.

    Cover and cook together for 10 more mins. Meanwhile, cook the Atkins pasta 15 mins. Place pasta on plate and tip with the meatballs in sauce.
