Setting up EDI
EDI based on a web portal (WebEDI)
Should you not be able to set up EDI messaging, a web portal is a good alternative. There are a number of solution providers, which can provide you with a web portal. In this way you can start receiving EDI orders from Jumbo in a secured way. Based on these orders you can create an EDI invoice and EDI despatch advice. These messages are sent to our system.
Below you will find a number of solution providers. Their WebEDI solutions are all available in several different languages.

Despatch Advice for deliveries to warehouses
Jumbo has committed herself to the goal of GS1 Netherlands to handle all goods receipts based on DESADV and SSCC by the end of 2014. Advantages of this way of working are both with Jumbo as its suppliers. As receipts can be checked faster, a truck can leave our warehouse earlier to perform a next route. We can have the stock available in our system earlier based on the DESADV message and the SSCC label. GS1 Netherlands has published a GS1 Label Manual on its website, which helps you to start creating SSCC labels and sending DESASDV messages.
- Jumbo expects all suppliers to our warehouses to send DESADV D01B level4 by the end of 2014. Large suppliers will be contacted to implement this version as soon as possible.
- Jumbo expect in the segments with addresses (NAD segments) the same GLN’s as send in the order message from Jumbo.
- The GLN of the supplier in the DESADV message (NAD+SU) should be equal to the GLN where Jumbo has sent the order to.
